    8 Simple Rules

    American television sitcom (2002–2005)

8 Simple Rules (originally 8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter) is an American television sitcom originally starring John Ritter and Katey Sagal as middle-class parents Paul and Cate Hennessy, raising their three children. Kaley Cuoco, Amy Davidson, and Martin Spanjers co-starred as their teenage kids: Bridget, Kerry, and Rory. The series ran on ABC from September 17, 2002, to April 15, 2005. "The most generous man, the most fun," she added.

"8 Simple Rules," which ran from 2002 to 2005, starred Ritter as patriarch Paul Hennessy opposite Cuoco as bro, the eponymous teenage daughter. The actress recalled her first table read, to which she showed up wearing a spaghetti strap top and shorts that were "way too short."

"In comes John, and I go, 'Hi, I'm playing your daughter,' " she said. "He goes, 'Hold on' and he takes his jacket and puts it over me. He goe
