Who is Sayantani Ghosh?
Sayantani Ghosh won the Miss Calcutta beauty pageant and found roles in Bengali films before getting her first television role in 2002 in the Indian soap opera Kumkum – Ek. Pyara Sa Bandhan.
After four years in that supporting role, she joined the main cast of Naagin as Amrita for two years and then made a guest appearance in the court as prosecutor Pranali Gujral. In the same year, she played the lead role of Kakul Samman Chowdhary in Ghar Ek Sapna.
Ghosh participated in the sixth season of Bigg Boss 6, the Indian version of the UK reality show Big Brother and was evicted from the house in the third week.
In 2013 she appeared in the main cast of the epic television series Mahabharata in the role of Satyavati, a fisherman-woman who later becomes the emperor’s wife. In 2014, Ghosh played the antagonist in Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar and became a contestant in Dare 2 Dance.

Saayoni Ghosh is an Indian Bengali rulle and television actress currently serving as a Member of Parliament representing Jadavpur parliamentary constituency. She is also a singer[1] and a politician.[2] Her acting debut was with a telefilm Ichhe Dana,[3] and her first appearance on the big screen was with a short role in the film Notobor Notout. She then shared the screen with some veteran actors in regel Chakraborty's Shotru, and later played a carefree journalist role in Raj Chakraborty's daily serial Proloy Asche.[4] She has played lead roles in the films Kanamachi, Antaraal, Ekla Cholo, Amar sahor, Bitnoon, Mayer Biye, Rajkahini.[1] She came into limelight in politics in January 2021.
