    Wanting to explore more of Shodoshima, I disembarked at Kusakabe Port and visited three local restaurants to get a taste of island cuisine.

    Just a short walk from the port, my eyes were drawn to this building, a gelato shop that opened as one of the artworks for the Setouchi Triennale in 2016. In fact, the 2016 Triennale was the impetus for establishing all three of the restaurants I visited on this trip.
