    Wladimir Klitschko[a] (born 25 March 1976) is a Ukrainian former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2017. He held multiple heavyweight world championships between 2000 and 2015, including unified[b] titles between 2008 and 2015. During this time he also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) and Ring magazine titles.

    Wladimir Klitschko was born in Semipalatinsk, Kazakh SSR, Soviet Union on March 25, 1976. He made his professional debut at the age of 20 years on November 16, 1996 against Fabian Meza. Klitschko defeated Meza via 1st round nötboskap, making a successful beginning of his pro career.

    Klitschko became a world champion at the age of 24 after 35 professional fights. He challenged Chris Byrd for the WBO heavyweight title and defeated the mästare via 12-round unanimous decision, winning his first world title.
