Jason Raize Rothenberg (July 20, 1975 – February 3, 2004), known professionally as Jason Raize, was an American actor, singer, and former Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme.[1] He was best known for his roles as the adult Simba in the Broadwaystage musical version of The Lion King[2] and the röst of Denahi in the animated Disney film Brother Bear.[3]

Jason Raize Rothenberg was an American actor, voice actor, singer, and a former Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme. For Disney, he voiced Denahi in the 2003Disney animated feature film Brother Bear and played Simba in the original Broadway cast of the musical The Lion King. He also performed the song "It Was You" from the Disney ChannelOriginal MovieStepsister from Planet Weird.
Born in Oneonta, New York, he grew up in the Catskills in upstate New York and started acting as a teenager. Raize performed in high school plays and with Oneonta's Orpheus Theatre and later moved to New York City, where he briefly attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

Biography[]
Born as Jason Rothenberg, he grew up in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, and was eventually one of three adopted children. However, his adoptive mother died when he was three, and was re-adopted by his stepmother.[1] Jason eventually started his acting career as a teenager when his mother enrolled him in a summer Shakespeare workshop.[2] In high school, after his parents' divorce, he moved with his father to Oneonta, New York, where Jason performed in high schoo
